Conference on Sport Arbitration

The Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey organized a late afternoon conference presenting

«A Practitioner’s Approach to the Proceedings before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)», kindly sponsored by international law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel and supported by Turkish Airlines.

SCCT President Mr Arpat Şenocak opened the two session conference and welcomed the distinguished speakers from Switzerland and France, who delivered comprehensive presentations on the structure of the CAS, the appeal proceedings, the applicable material law and the recently experimented ad hoc commission at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games:

• Despina Mavromati – Head of research and mediation at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS)
• Antonio Rigozzi – Partner, Levy Kaufman-Kohler
• Carole Malinvaud – Partner, Gide Loyrette Nouel / Appointed member of the ICAS
• Fabrice Robert-Tissot – Senior Associate, Levy Kaufman-Kohler

After a fruitful Q&A round, the guests had the chance to talk to the speakers during a networking cocktail.
