GREAT ATTENTION TO SWISS DAYS ISTANBUL 2022!

Swiss Days Istanbul 2022, which exhibits the rich diversity and presence of Switzerland in Turkey, ended with an intense participation.

In Swiss Days 2022, more than 25 institutions were among the supporters and more than 20 thousand participants attended.


The Consulate General of Switzerland in Istanbul, the Swiss Business Hub Türkiye and the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye organised the Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 at Yapı Kredi bomontiada between 23-25 September 2022.

The event, hosted by Swiss Consul General in Istanbul Julien Thöni, Head of the Swiss Business Hub Türkiye Yasemin Öztürk and President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye Arpat Şenocak, and with the participation of the Şişli Mayor Muammer Keskin, lasted for three days. Under the theme of “Designing a Green Future”, Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 presented Swiss music, art and culture, gastronomy, technology, economy, education and more with a unique platform where it was held in Istanbul.

After the pandemic period, Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 hosted around 15 thousand visitors. While Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 was an excellent platform to bring together potential business partners from Switzerland and Turkey, it served as a cultural and economic bridge between Switzerland and Turkey, the exclusive export market, with the intense participation of more than 25 sponsors. While emphasizing the importance of acting more sustainably, the event aimed at increasing general awareness about the environmental challenges, the importance of everyone’s responsibility and the role played by technology and innovation to better protect the environment and our communities.

Swiss Days İstanbul 2022 partners

With the support and participation of Presence Switzerland (PRS), Swiss Tourism, Switzerland Global Enterprise (SGE) and Şişli Municipality, Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 hosted various workshops, conferences, seminars, concerts, entertaining activities and individual booths at Yapı Kredi bomontiada, a popular multicultural venue of Istanbul. The three-day Swiss Festival became the center of attention of the city. Yapı Kredi bomontiada, dDf, Power App and Privée PR were actively involved in the Swiss Days as partner organisations.

Oris and Şark Saatçilik were the diamond sponsors of Swiss Days Istanbul 2022. While gold sponsors were ABB, Nestlé, Novartis, Roche, Tektaş Watches and Turkish Airlines, the silver sponsors were Barry Callebaut, Belimo, Bordier, Credit Suisse, Geberit, Hilti, Sicpa, Sika, Swiss CenterDent, Rowema, Vakko and Zurich Insurance. Further event sponsor was UBP. Swiss Days Istanbul 2022 created a festive atmosphere

Swiss Chef Eric Ruppen from Le Cordon Bleu added specialties of the Swiss cuisine to the menus of the bomontiada restaurants. These special Swiss menus at Yapı Kredi bomontiada’s three popular restaurants Monochrome, The Populist and Kilimanjaro received full marks from those who tried it. Before the Swiss Days Istanbul 2022, Swiss Gourmet Chef Jean-Marc Soldati, and Bahçeşehir University School of Applied Sciences Gastronomy and Culinary Arts held a number of delicious events such as a Master Class for students and a Swiss Gourmet Dinner together.


The street artist No More Lies painted one large canvas that is exhibited at the Swiss Days and reflect the theme of Designing a Green Future. Color Box, the leading brand of art and hobby supplies, supported the materials used by No More Lies. Jotun also sponsored for the painting materials for the Street art. The design of No More Lies, located in the parking lot building of Ece Commercial Real Estate Investment and Management Services in front of Yapı Kredi bomontiada, took you on a journey towards the green lush Swiss Alps.

A second canvas was painted by the young street artist Matteo of only 12 years old, who came from Switzerland to the event.


The booths of the Swiss companies in Türkiye created a festive atmosphere and carried the visitors on a journey to Switzerland. Visitors of this Swiss Village were able to enjoy Swiss specialities, such as the famous Raclette Cheese, while getting to know the Swiss brands better.


There were also an entertainment program featuring Swiss folk music and activities such as “Cow-Painting”, ‘’Chocolate Workshop’’ “Cow-Milking”, “spin the Wheel”, and drawing competitions entertained children and adults. In addition, radio Power FM broadcasted live from the Swiss Village during the three festival days.


The XVI. “Swiss-Turkish Economic Forum”, organized with the slogan of “A Green Economy in a Blue World“, was also held with wide participation. Ambassador of Switzerland to Turkey H.E Jean-Daniel Ruch and President of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Türkiye Arpat Şenocak opened the Economic Forum, which featured a key-note speaker and panelists from the private sector, academia and civil society to discuss the future of our planet. Markus Reubi, Deputy Head of the Division, Prosperity and Sustainability Division, Swiss Delegate for the Agenda 2030, also took part virtually in the keynote speeches.


Within the scope of Swiss Days Istanbul 2022, the “Maintenance Journey of Swiss Watches” workshop, which was organized by Tektaş Watchmaking and Jewelery Group, which has the title of International Authorized in Swiss High Watchmaking Technical Services, was among the programs that created excitement among watch enthusiasts.


Two concerts took place at the Swiss Days. First, the Swiss Jazz Band “Bconnected” entertained all Jazz and Blues lovers on Friday night. Then, after Swiss Career Hours on Saturday night, September 24th, the Swiss R&B singer Naomi Lareine, who was nominated for the Swiss Music Awards in 2020 and is recognized as one of Switzerland’s most promising voices, gave her performance.


In view of the centenary and with the great support of the municipality of Şişli, the Lausanne exhibition was presented during the Swiss Days in the Art Gallery of Yapı Kredi bomontiada throughout the Swiss Days. The Lausanne exhibition also left its mark among the special events that the participants liked and admired the most.
