Bilateral Foreign Chamber Representations Joint Donation Information
Dear Members,
We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives and destruction caused by the earthquake that hit Türkiye. Regarding the aid in the earthquake area, Presidency Investment Office recommends contacting
AFAD. AFAD In-kind Aids:
AFAD shared the urgent needs as listed below and recommended to two alternatives for delivery.
Urgent Needs:
Winter clothing for women-men-child (from underwear to fleece), gas-fired heaters, small and large gas cylinders, generators, blankets, baby food
1- For those members with logistics, we kindly ask you to contact us via our e-mail address [email protected]. We will coordinate with AFAD to assign the correct warehouses for the shipments.
2- For those members without logistics, we kindly ask you to deliver the products to the district governorships in your own cities. AFAD said that these goods will be sent to the region collectively.
Notice Regarding the Custom Procedures for Relief Items Sent by Foreign Nations
Basic relief items and other goods sent by foreign nations for distribution and use in affected disaster/earthquake areas by the victims can be imported with exemption from custom duties and commercial policy measures, provided that they are sent to:
-Government institutions
-Public interest organizations
-Tax exempt organizations as listed by Presidential Office
To facilitate the coordination efforts by the relevant Ministries, such goods should be donated and sent to one of the following institutions/organizations:
– AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency)
– Ankara Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Şanlıurfa Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Kahramanmaraş Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Adıyaman Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Adana Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Hatay Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
– Diyarbakır Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation
For customs procedures of such goods, it would be sufficİent to submit the following documents to the customs office of entry:
– Shipping document, if any
– A list of goods (in accordance with the following table):
