All provisions of the Law No 6698 on Protection of Personal Data ("Law") has entered into force on 7 October 2016. We would therefore like to notify you by this information note on your rights regarding the process of your personal data and that we, as Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Turkey ("Chamber"), will process your personal data under our capacity of Data Controller as indicated under the Law. Processing of the personal data means that it will be collected, recorded, rearranged and retained, to the extent permitted by Law, transferred to third persons and abroad.
Your personal data means the personal information obtained by the Chamber, such as your name, surname and contact information which allows identifying you.
Purpose and Legal Grounds regarding Processing of Personal Data:
The purpose of the establishment of the Chamber is to enable its members to develop bilateral relationships, especially commercial ones, organize events for members and nonmembers and to take all necessary steps to encourage investment. Pursuant to Law No. 5253 on Associations, all associations are allowed to enter into cross-border activities and cooperation in order to achieve obligations and purposes indicated in their bylaws. In this respect, the Chamber may transfer the personal data to third persons within the country or abroad to provide services to its members and complete membership processes to the extent permitted by laws.
Procedure on Obtaining of Personal Data:
The personal data is obtained electronically, through submission of membership forms, business partners and verbal or written communications to our employees during events.
